Peewees Lose 5 - 4 in NOHA Championship Finals......excellent job team - it's been an exciting season!!!

NEOHA PEEWEE GRAND FINALE

The Blue Devils got off to a rough start this weekend in their first game against Hearst losing by a score of 5-1.  The peewee’s had to adjust to a short bench as they were missing two key players, Jordan Wilson and Jakob Rosko-Fong and some players not felling well after battling the flu.  

In the first game the peewee’s gave it a great effort but just ran out of legs. Scoring for the Blue Devils was Logan Lazoryshak assisted by Chase Stevanovich.  Mitch Byers took the loss.  

Once again in the second game the Blue devils skated hard and played good hockey with the T.S Pedersen team for a period and a half but the short bench caught up to them.  The Blue Devils came out on the losing end 6-0. Nick Lelievre took the loss.  

Game 3 was a much easier task as the Blue Devils went on to defeat Smooth Rock Falls 11-1 despite losing another player and bringing the bench to nine players.  Points went to Mitchel Nikitin with 4 goals and 2 assist. Jacob Woollings with 2 goals and 2 assist.  Ryan Murdoch with 2 goals and 2 assist.  Chase Stevanovich with 2 goals and 1 assist.  Jamie Topliss with 1 goal and 2 assist. Nick Lelievre was in net for the win.

In Game 4 the offence was really going for the Devils even with only eight players they outscored the Timmins Titans by a score of 14-0.  Chase Stevanovich led the way with 6 goals and 3 assist. Mitchel Nikitin had 3 goals and 3 assist.  Logan Lazoryshak had 1 goal and 4 assist .  Jamie Topliss had 1 goal and 4 assist.  Ryan Murdoch had 3 goals and 1 assist. Single assist went to Kaden Daoust, Aaron Murney , Aaron Seabrook, and Jacob Woollings.  Nick Lelievre was in net for the win and the shut out.

The Peewee “B” Championship game saw the Blue Devils face off against the Kapuskasing Angels.  The Blue Devils worked extremely hard for the 3-2 win.  The three defense men Aaron Seabrook , Aaron Murey and Kaden Daoust showed great conditioning as they played short the whole weekend while one of their defense partners Jacob Woollings was moved to forward.  The Kapuskasing Angels pressed very hard but were only able to beat Mitch Byers twice who played very well and bailed his team out a number of times to keep his team in the game.  Chase Stevanovich had 2 goals and 1 assist.  Mitchel Nikitin had 1 goal and 1 assist.  Aaron Seabrook had 1 assist.
 

Forwards Mitchel Nikitin , Chase Stevanovich , Jamie Topliss , Logan Lazoryshak, Eric Lafreniere , Ryan Murdoch and Jacob Woollings also worked very hard all weekend . Jordan Wilson should be read to play next weekend at the N.O.H.A.
